Roxanne Thompson has been a floral designer for some twenty-five years, beginning her career and training in the Maryland area and later continuing her experience at several florists in Wilmington. In February 2004 Roxanne Thompson purchased Island Florals, which at that time was a small-scale business servicing mostly island locals. In three years, she has transformed it into a recognized and influential force in the floral industry. The reach of her work now extends into Wilmington, Wrightsville beach, and Southport. Her clientele can be found across New Hanover County, from the shores of Kure Beach to the residences at Landfall. Roxanne has brought to the floral industry a fresh and imaginative perspective on design. Her work is known for its distinctive style, one that combines traditional elements of design with modern concepts and materials. The event and bridal markets, too, have recognized Roxanne’s skill, and she has become a desired florist for many of the local vendors and locations.
